Educational Therapist

Biography

Rita Rispoli is a board certified educational therapist with a private practice in Monterey, California. She holds a B.A. in psychology from Marymount Manhattan College and an M.A. from California State University, Los Angeles.

Ms. Rispoli served as a board member of the Central California Branch of the International Dyslexia Association from 1996 to 1999. She serves on the advisory boards of Community Partnership for Youth and the Monterey County Chapter of CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorder). She has also been a supervisor of interns in the educational therapy certificate program at UC Santa Cruz Extension. Among her certifications are two lifetime special education credentials from the state of California. She is a frequent guest speaker at organizations, schools and colleges.

Ms. Rispoli offers consultation services regarding educational and employment issues for learning disabled clients. She also provides educational assessments for learning problems and learning disabilities, and sees a limited number of clients for remediation sessions. In addition to her memberships in IDA and CHADD, she belongs to the Learning Disabilities Association of America and the National Center for Learning Disabilities. Ms. Rispoli has offered innovative solutions to individuals with learning challenges since 1975. She is a certified professional member of the Association of Educational Therapists.
